The annual Green Expo, previously called the Environmental Fair, will be held between Tuesday and Friday.

It will provide information on various ways to save energy, reduce pollution, manage waste, the three Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and healthy green living.

The theme chosen for this year – ‘Greenovation’ – is intended to highlight the importance of creativity and innovation as the way forward. Greenovation will also be the theme behind ‘The Green Gene’ competition in which students will be asked to showcase their innovative thinking.

The University Students’ Council (KSU), which organises the expo, is promising a bigger and greener event than ever, featuring an eco-garden on campus.

Various other student organisations and NGOs promoting a green agenda will also take part, ensuring a lively programme of events including debates, film screenings and performing arts.
