• A blood donation session will be held at Nadur council today between 8.30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

• A commemorative lecture by Charles Bezzina organised by the Gozo Culture and Information Office will be held at the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria, today at 10.30 a.m. The lecture, in English, will deal with various aspects of the social life in Gozo and its inhabitants during World War II. Entrance is free.

• Gnomeo and Juliet will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be held today at 6.15 a.m., 8.30, 10, 11.15 and 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be the recitalof the rosary, followed by Eucharistic benediction.

• A bazaar in aid of Arka Foundation will be held at St Joseph Hall in Għajnsielem (near the Gozo Press) between tomorrow and Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 6 p.m.

• The Gozo Philatelic Society will be holding its 12th Philatelic Exhibition at the Exhibition Hall, St Francis Square, Victoria, between today and Friday. All members are invited to participate. The theme for theexhibition is ‘Nature and nurture’. Entrance is free. Opening hours are Monday to Fridayfrom 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

• The Directorate for Lifelong Learning will be holding a meeting on the scholarship scheme: ‘Strategic Educational Pathways Scholarships’ (STEPS) at the Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts in Għajnsielem on Friday at 6 p.m. Interested candidates in possession of a first degree honours (minimum second class) or a general degree (second class) and a Post Graduate Diploma may apply for the scheme. Applications close on November 30.

• The Victoria Padre Pio Prayer Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the Capuchin Friars’ Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces, Victoria, on Friday at 5.30 p.m.

• The diocesan EucharisticMovement will be holding a prayer evening at the Good Shepherd church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady ofPompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

• A fundraising dinner in aid of the Seminary is to be held at the Seminary next Sundayat 6.30 p.m. Tickets can be obtained from the Seminary ­(tel: 2155 6479), the Seminary Dames and the Friends of the Seminary.

• A fundraising concert, entitled ‘Nostalgia Night – Music and Art’, will be held at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria on November 26 at 7.30 p.m. The concert is being organised by the Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo. Entrance is free but donations will be welcomed.

• The Gozo Creative Theatre Club, in collaboration with the Gozo Culture and Information Office within the Gozo Ministry, will stage ‘Spring’s Awakening’ at the Citadel Centre for Culture and Arts, Victoria, on November 26 and 27 at 7.30 p.m. Entrance is free. Seating will be on a first- come-first-served basis.

• A Mass to mark the first anniversary of former Gozo Bishop Nikol Cauchi’s passing is to be held at the Gozo Cathedral in Victoria on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will preside. Everyone is welcome to attend.
