Air Malta has welcomed Malta International Airport's decision to waive landing fee for all airlines this winter.
In a statement it said such measures were important as they cushioned the effects of seasonality, which wasone of the most significant factors that negatively affected Air Malta and the island’s tourism industry.
Air Malta is this winter planning to float 770,000 seats to/from Malta.
Despite the global economic situation the airline is cautiously optimistic it can achieve good passenger figures.
Together with the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta has this season embarked on a number of advertising campaigns throughout its network.
