Student LGBT society ‘We Are’ announced that it has bought 10 books on queer studies for the University library, with the financial assistance of KSU’s Resources Fund.

The books are all required for the course ‘Introduction to Queer Studies’, which is offered by the Department of Sociology, and include such titles as Fear of a Queer Planet – Queer Politics and Social Theory, Queer Theory – an Introduction, The Transgender Studies Reader and Female Masculinity.

The KSU Resources Fund was established last year and set aside a total of €10,000 to supplement the resources of the library in cases when it is difficult for the library to buy books in a timely manner due to bureaucracy and financing.

We Are announced that the books should be available to borrow in the coming weeks, and thanked the KSU and library administration for their support.
