Top military chefs from the US and Germany will be cooking a dinner to raise funds for NGO Inspire at the InternationalMilitary Chefs Dinner.
The chefs will be putting together a three-course meal at The Chef Wine Bar, Brasserie and Lounge in Xemxija on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Among the 15 chefs concocting culinary delights are the personal chefs for the US Navy in Europe and Africa.
The chefs have travelled widely and have sampled and picked up cooking skills from all over the world.
They will be in Malta to participate in an international bi-annual culinary and cookery arts competition organised by the Malta Chefs Society called Malta Kulinarja which runs from today until next Sunday (see Travel and Food section, page 15). The dinner menu, which includes hints of Italian and French cuisine, has been specially designed for this event.
The chefs have been chosen by the Malta Chefs Society to do their bit for charity and raise funds for Inspire – The Foundation for Inclusion, while offering their time and culinary experience at The Chef’s kitchens.
“We are very excited to take part in this charity event,” says Lieutenant Bryan Boggs from the US Navy.
“We are all very keen to help out as best we can in doing our bit for those less fortunate than us.”
The diiner is priced at €25 per person, including a glass offoreign wine. For bookings, call 2189 0000 or e-mail anna.vella@inspire.org.mt.
