• Merħbabik will be organising a grand high tea with Mass today at 3 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Balzan. The event will continue in the hall of the old convent, and a bazaar will be organised between November 25 and 27 at the Good Shepherd Convent garage at 22, Idmejda Street, Balzan.

• The medieval chapels of ĦalMillieri and Bir Miftuħ as well as the Msida Bastion Historic Garden (Floriana) will be open to the public today between 9 a.m. and noon. Admission is free but donations to the upkeep of these historic sites is greatly appreciated.

• A bazaar in aid of the Capuchins’ Mission in Kenya and Cuba is being held at the Fransican Cultural Centre, Floriana (next to the Capuchin’s Church) from today to next Sunday.

• A bazaar will be held at St Helen parish centre, Birkirkara (behind the church), from Tuesday to November 16 daily from 9 a.m. to noon and from 4.30 to 7 p.m., Sunday morning only. There will be home-grown pot plants, furniture items, antiques and bric a brac.

• Caritas Co-operators is holding a card party on Wednesday at the Preluna Hotel, Sliema, starting with coffee at 10.30 a.m., followed by a talk by Bernard Grech at 11, Mass at noon and lunch at 1 p.m. Cards may be played in the afternoon. • The King’s Own Malta Regiment Association is holding a remembrance service for the repose of the souls of members of the Regiment at Stella Maris College Chapel, Gżira, on Thursday at 6 p.m.

• As part of the European Year for Volunteering 2011, the National Council of Women, together with the Commission on Domestic Violence, Nature Trust Malta and National Youth Council, is organising a third conference on ‘Strengthening and encouraging volunteering – intergenerational volunteering – paving the way for the EU Year for Active Aging 2012’ on Saturday between 8.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. at Europe House, Valletta. • A healing event for bereavement after suicide will be taking place on November 19 between 8.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at St Joseph’s Home, St Venera. Keynote speaker will be Victor Shields. The event is organised by the Richmond Foundation incollaboration with The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This is a reflective session forthose who lost a beloved one tosuicide. • A car wash in aid of the Living Ability Not Disability Group will be held near the Black Pearl in Ta’ Xbiex on November 20 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The price is €5.

• Hospice Malta, in collaboration with the K Night Riders, is organising a 20-kilometre bike ride, on November 20. The bike ride will leave Hospice Malta in Balzan at 9 a.m. heading to Sliema and back. Participation is against a donation of €10. Registration can be made either on the day, between 8.30 and 9 a.m. or via the website at www.hospicemalta.org.
