Obituary

CACHIA. On October 21, AMY, née Diacono, widow of Albert, passed peacefully away in France. She is mourned by her children Molly Gloria, Elizabeth, Alexandre and their respective families, her surviving sister Doris Cachia, née Diacono in Malta, her nephews, nieces, relatives and friends in Malta and France. May she rest in peace.

MELI. On November 5 at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN ANTHONY passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife of 56 years, Josephine, his children, Tony and his wife Sarah, Sandra and her husband David Mallia, and Rosanne and her husband Joe Mangion, his grandchildren Nicole, Christopher, Eduard, Alex, Martin and Jeanine, as well as his nephews and nieces, sisters- and brothers-in-law and his cousins and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital to­morrow to St Gregory church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be held at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery (en­trance through top gate). No flowers by request but donations to Dar Tal-Providenza will be appreciated. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who took care of John at the Holy Family home and to the dedicated staff at Mater Dei.

SCICLUNA. On November 4, CETTINA of Gżira, wife of the late Joseph, aged 81, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Marlene and her husband Peter Camilleri, her son Pio and his wife Maryrose, her grandsons Andrew, Mark, Gianluca and Francesco, her sisters Mary and her husband Tony Farrugia, Josephine Deguara and Edmea and her husband Tony Knight, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Gżira parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.
