Relapser jailed for two years
A 37-year-old man from Sliema with previous convictions was jailed for two years yesterday after he admitted to stealing a handbag and cash from a car.
Christian Zahra admitted to stealing a handbag worth €1,000, some €400 in cash, a mobile phone worth €150 and sunglasses worth €250.
He also admitted handling stolen property.

I'm not condoning what this thief did and I'm glad he was jailed, but why would anyone leave valuables and cash in a car?
The theft was criminal but the victim was irresponsibly naive. This is 2011 not 1911.
