Food festival and chef competitions in Ta’ Qali

Vivanda – Taste the Med 2011 edition – will host the Chefs Challenge and the Military Chefs Competitions at the Millennium Stand, Ta’ Qali, from today until next Sunday.

The Malta Chefs Society will hold its bi-annual Malta Kulinarja event during the show, while a number of military chefs based around the Mediterranean will be competing in the Top Military Chef competition. Throughout the week all participating chefs will prepare their most creative dishes.

The event, organised by Crimson Partnerships, will give visitors the opportunity to visit the Chef Challenge and Military Chefs events as well as participate in other competitions and food and drink tastings. Vivanda will also be offering informative lectures for those in the food and drink industry.

On the opening day there will be an exclusive lunch, the proceeds of which will go to the Malta Community Chest Fund

Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance fee is €2.
