• All goods displayed must have prices clearly and accurately indicated.

• Goods that are sold per unit weight or volume must show both the actual price and the unit price.

• The price displayed must be in euros and tax inclusive.

• Reduced prices should be clearly marked.

• Retailers who do not indicate prices are liable to a fine.

• In cases of second or subsequent conviction, shop owners can also have their trade licence suspended for a week.

• Consumers may report lack of price indication or misleading prices to the Enforcement Directorate by calling on Freephone 8007 4400.
