BMIT to launch cloud platform and range of associated services

Data centre services provider BMIT Ltd (www.bmit.com.mt) will be investing in a cloudplatform to enable a rangeof new infrastructure-as–a-service and software-as-a-servicesolutions.

This will be the first direct investment in a cloud infrastructure in Malta.

This announcement comes following the successful launch of an initial suite of cloud services earlier this year.

A number of locally based and international clients are nowsubscribed to a range of virtualisation and storage services offered through one of BMIT’s data centres in Malta.

“A considerable number of customers are showing interest in our current range of cloud services since we provide the benefits of the cloud but complement it with a suite of managed services as well as with focused and personalised attention which cannot be achieved if an offshore location is opted for,” said BMIT chief executive officer Christian Sammut.
