Obituary
MICALLEF. On November 1, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, M’ASSUNTA, née Bonnici, widow of Carmelo, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves mourn her loss her children Architect Ludovico and his wife Mary, Antoinette, Joe and his wife Sandra and Jane, her grandchildren Mark, Luke and Maria Cristina, her brothers John and his wife Pauline Bonnici, Ġużeppi, widower of Rose, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence, today at 1.45 p.m. for St Mary parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Mother Theresa Ward 2, St Vincent de Paul Residence for their continued dedication while she was under their care. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
WIRTH. On October 29, at St James Capua Hospital, ADRIAN, aged 70, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Hazel, his brother Gerard and his wife Violet, his sister-in-law Jeanette and his special nephew Peter, as well as his numerous cousins and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital on Saturday at 8.30 a.m. for St Bartholomew’s parish church, Għargħur, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan. No black, please. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

O Holy St Jude, apostle and martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke you, special patron in time of need, to you I have recourse from the depths of my heart and humbly beg you, whom God has given such great power, to come to my assistance. Digital games lecture
Game developers, students, academics and those interested in digital games are invited to a lecture by prominent browser games developer Nick Porsche, founder of Rocksolid Games and producer and games director of Battlestar Galactica Online.
The lecture will take place on November 10 at 7.30 p.m. at the University of Malta, Lecture Theatre 1. Mr Porsche will discuss his experience with the game and all the secrets behind creating a massively successful browser game.

Volunteering conference
As part of the European Year for Volunteering 2011, the National Council of Women, together with the Commission on Domestic Violence, Nature Trust Malta and National Youth Council, will be holding a third conference on Strengthening And Encouraging Volunteering – Intergenerational Volunteering – Paving The Way For The EU Year For Active Ageing 2012 on November 12 between 8.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. at Dar l-Ewropa, Valletta. Sacred music concert
The Mellieħa local council will host a concert which includes Marian and sacred music performed by the Russian choir Orpharion at the sanctuary in Mellieħa tomorrow at 7 p.m. Entrance is free.
