Tourist arrivals increased by 2.1 per cent in September when compared to the same month last year, reversing the drop in arrivals in August, according to national statistics.

The number of inbound tourists since the beginning of the year have exceeded one million, registering a growth of seven per cent when compared to last year.

More than 154,500 tourists made it to Malta last month. While first-time visitors remained at par with last year’s figures, an increase in repeat tourists was recorded.
