Panasonic has been ranked as the Best Global Green Electronic Brand in a survey which was carried out among some of the top global brands by Internbrand.
In the overall survey, among 50 companies from various sectors, including financial services, automotive, logistics and fast moving consumer goods, Panasonic ranked number 10.
With the acquisition of Sanyo and the ongoing integration of its strong line-up of battery and solar products, Panasonic is clearly focusing on growth in its green businesses. The global brand is in fact announcing a campaign that emphasises the importance of finding sustainable solutions for the future and highlight Panasonic’s own eco activity.
Keith Spiteri, general manager of Digital Planet, exclusive importers and distributors of Panasonic in Malta said: “Panasonic already scores highly on performance across governance, transportation and logistics, and products and services. It has now chosen 2018, the 100th anniversary of its foundation, as the year when the company wants to be the ‘Number One Green Innovation Company in the Electronics Industry’. This aim has been set notwithstanding the fact that it will have to face stiff competition from other electronics giants with similar targets.”
