A group of 17 students reading for the Mechanical Engineering course and one student reading for the Chemistry with Materials recently took part in an industrial visit to Germany. The visit was led by Ann Zammit and Glenn Cassar, lecturers from the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. The students visited Salzgitter AG, one of Europe’s leading steel manufacturers, Blohm and Voss Industries in Hamburg, a Claas Guss foundry, VW Auto-stadt, and the unique science centre called Phaeno.
