Exigy recently hosted a business breakfast entitled ‘CRM: managing your customers for business growth’, with the aim of helping organisations understand how a customer relationship management solution can work for their business.

The event brought together chief financial officers, CEOs, sales directors, marketing directors and relationship managers from various industries, together with guest speakers Eric Muscat from KPMG Malta, Kevin Schembri from Microsoft Malta and Anita Mangion from Exigy.

Mr Muscat opened the event with a walkthrough of the gains and pains of CRM, providing the audience with an analysis of the types of businesses that would typically benefit from CRM systems and why they need it.

“CRM is more than an IT system – it’s a business strategy with the customer at its very centre,” said Mr Muscat.

Mr Schembri showcased the main pillars of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, explaining why the solution is the choice of over 23,000 customers across various industries, with over 1,400,000 users in more than 80 countries worldwide.

“Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides your business with a 360 degree view of customer interactions,” said Mr Schembri.

“This means providing people with the right information and tools to help them increase productivity across their business.”

Ms Mangion showcased how Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 works in practice, demonstrating how the solution can maximise marketing impact, drive sales productivity and optimise customer engagement.

She also presented the commercial aspects and outlined what is needed to implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 together with the indicative investment required for a typical implementation.

“CRM is not an off-the-shelf solution which you can simply plug and play.

“It represents an enterprise-wide investment that has to match a business. That’s why you need to appoint an accredited partner to implement the solution,” she said.

Exigy is a local company specialising in the delivery of strategic software solutions, aimed at providing customers with an effective bridge between business and technology.
