A bike ride for l-Istrina is being held today by the Air Malta Sports & Social Committee in collaboration with SITA (Malta office).
Cyclists were this morning welcomed at San Anton Palace by President George
Abela, before they proceeded to Mosta, Naxxar and Ta' Qali where a pit-stop for water was set up.
The second part of the ride will take cyclists to Mtarfa, Mdina, Rabat, Attard and then back again to San Anton Gardens. The participants are being led by the Mosta Cycling Club support car and policemen.
At the end of the event, the cyclists will be given a certificate of attendance as a token for their participation.

Well done, very well organized and planned. HE the President should keep this as an annual sister activity to the President's Run.
Pity only Mosta Cycling Club was present ... why?

Prosit for the initiative, hopefully organising such activities, we'll get us used to seeing more cyclists on the road. Such activities should be organised more frequently especially on a Sunday
