Another global endorsement for Renzo Spiteri

Renzo Spiteri, described by the German online music portal Creative Sound as “one of today’s true masters of the art of percussion” was recently awarded a worldwide endorsement by Schlagwerk, top manufacturers of handcrafted percussion instruments in Germany.

This is the fifth global music brand in six years to engage Spiteri as their international ambassador, a prestigious musical appointment that is reserved for artists of outstanding musical ability who actively play in high profile environments.

“I am very pleased and proud that Schlagwerk have handpicked Spiteri as one of their representatives and have decided to officially endorse him,” said Joe Piscopo from Olimpus Music, local sole agents for the brand.

Spiteri’s artistic versatility and passion for the creative use of sound has over the years allowed him to develop fresh musical possibilities and unlimited modes of expression.

He merges his role of musician with that of composer, musical director and producer, acting as a strong linking point between the music itself and other genres of artistic expression.

He is currently in Washington DC to participate in the fourth edition of the Kids Euro Festival along with fellow performers Sarah Spiteri and Nick Critien.

Upon his return in November, he will be launching his third solo album, Silence, Sounds and Spaces, during live performances at St James Cavalier, Valletta.
