Not one to shy away from mixing and matching musical styles, pop artist Aaron Benjamin’s latest release finds him giving it some extra groove.
The single Let’s Dance is a predominantly electro-pop number that Benjamin, the winner of the Best Male Artist award at last year’s Malta Music Awards, nimbly edges his way into and makes his own.
The new single has been getting a lot of radio airplay, thanks largely to its irresistible upbeat melody and synth-driven groove.
Obviously pleased the song has been so well-received, Benjamin agrees he has gone in a different direction with Let’s Dance, and that his decision was “influenced” by the current style of pop dance music being produced by such artists as David Guetta and LMFAO.
Although the vocals were recorded locally with Boriz Cezek, the song was written and produced in Sweden.
“I’ve been working with a team of top writers in Sweden who have worked with some of the best names in the industry, such as The Wanted.”
Besides making music, Benjamin has also been busy hosting his own prime-time radio show In The Zone, which goes out on weekdays at 7 p.m. on One Radio 92.7 FM.
“The show is in English and I have a great audience tuning in here in Malta and in many countries around the world. I’ve had some local celebrities as guests on the show and I make sure that local music is included in the playlist,” he said.
