Muammar Gaddafi's son and one-time heir Saif al-Islamhas proposed to hand himself  to the International Criminal Court, a National Transitional Council official told Reuters.

SkyNews and Al-Arabiya are reporting that former intelligence chief Abdullah al Senussi could also be considering the same course of action.

It is believed Saif arrived in Niger today after fleeing Libya.

The ICC has said it has no confirmation the pair would be surrendering.
