The University Students’ Council (KSU) is calling on the relevant authorities to bring the public transport system up to scratch.
KSU hopes the plan to reintroduce direct bus routes to the University and Mater Dei from November 6 “will truly bring the immediate and effective action students have been longing for, creating a public transport service which is efficient and up to standard”.
In its statement, KSU expressed its dissatisfaction with the current public transport system and claimed that as a consequence of the system’s shortcomings, students were arriving late for lectures, forcing more students to use their cars to go to University, which in turn had dramatically exacerbated the parking problem on campus.
KSU called for “immediate, effective and drastic action by the relevant authorities to bring the service up to standard” and encouraged students to continue passing on to KSU feedback and complaints, which would be presented to the relevant authorities.
