The Valletta grand prix was held in the streets around Mdina over the weekend.

A 1972 Mini owned by Steve Borg won the sprint run yesterday.

The event started on Friday and continued with demonsttration runs today with the 53 old cars being put through their paces, without serious incident.

The entries included a Rolls Royce, several Jaguars and models which have now practically disappeared from the roads, including an Escort, a Capri, a couple of Triumph Heralds a Fiat 131 and a Hillman Imp.
