Weekly consumer advice

• Package holidays should be as described and advertised by the travel agency. If not, consumers may be entitled to compensation.

• The tour organiser should provide consumers with all the information about the package chosen.

• The terms and conditions of the package holiday should be carefully read and understood.

• If problems arise during a package holiday, the tour operator’s representative should be immediately notified.

• Immediately upon arrival in Malta, consumers are to notify the travel agency as stipulated in the brochure.

• If the complaint remains unsolved even after speaking to the travel agency, consumers should contact the Office for Consumer Affairs at the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority for assistance.
