The satirical theatre show Bla Kondixin this year finds itself at a loss as to what to leave out in the light of the plethora of local events.

The comedy team draws its inspiration from political fiascos, the public transport situation and the divorce campaign.

Local comedians and comedy writers are presenting the 11th edition of Bla Kondixin, a show which provides side-splitting humour.

Mario Snits Spiteri (iċ-Ċiklist), Tanya Scicluna (Lucy Cocciattolo), Paul Borg Bonaci (Jonny il-Kajboj) and P J Xerxen (L-Abbati) will be joined by several new characters –Ylenia (the mail-order Ukrainian bride, played by newcomer Ruth Zammit) and l-Iddivorzjat (played by Steve Hili). A range of well-known songs, delivered in their typical tongue-in-cheek style, will tackle current issues.

The song lyrics will be projected on the giant screen, so those members of the audience who are musically inclined can join in, and those who are musically-challenged can at least read and understand what their neighbours are bawling.

Bla Kondixin 2011 will be held at Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq, on November 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 at 8 p.m. There will be three extra matinees on November 6, 13 and 20 at 3 p.m.
