Several towns in the south were expected to be without water until sometime today after a private contractor yesterday damaged a pipe in Luqa. The Water Services Corporation said damage was caused to the 600-millimetre “trunk main” in Triq il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa.

Areas hit by this suspension were Vittoriosa, Cospicua, Bulebel, Fgura, Senglea, Kalkara, Luqa, Marsascala, Paola, Sta Luċija, Smart City, Xgħajra and Żabbar.
