Francois Hollande, winner of the Socialist Party (PS) 2011 primary vote for France’s 2012 presidential, celebrates with Martine Aubry, candidate for the second round of the vote, at the party’s headquarters after the second round of the vote, yesterday in Paris. The frontrunner in the French left’s primary to choose a presidential candidate, Francois Hollande, enjoyed a comfortable lead yesterday with 57 per cent of votes against Martine Aubry in the run-off.
