Calamatta Cuschieri launches two high-income bond funds

Calamatta Cuschieri, the investment advisory and stockbroking firm, has launched the first two sub-funds of the recently licensed Calamatta Cuschieri Funds SICAV plc.

The CC High Income Bond Funds EUR and USD aim to maximise the total level of return for investors through investment, primarily, in a diversified portfolio of debt securities and other fixed income or interest bearing securities, the firm said.

The investment manager will invest primarily in a diversified portfolio of intermediate term, corporate and government high yield bonds with maturities of 10 years and less.

Business development director Alan Cuschieri said that with 40 years’ experience in the fixed income markets, it was a natural step for Calamatta Cuschieri to launch the CC High Income Bond Funds to offer the investing public the option to invest in a diversified portfolio of high yield bonds while benefiting from a regular stream of income.

As the sicav’s investment manager, Calamatta Cuschieri Investment Management, which is licensed as an investment management company by the regulator, retains full control over the management of the funds ensuring that they are managed as efficiently and proactively as possiblewithout the need to rely on third parties.

The sub-funds team includes Michael Galea and Kristian Camenzuli who are portfolio managers, Charles Farrugia (independent director) and Alex Cuschieri and Nick Calamatta from Calamatta Cuschieri.

Chris Saliba chairs theinvestment committee. DFAsset Allocation, a Swiss-based portfolio management company, has been appointed investment adviser. Calamatta Cuschieri Fund Services is the fund administrator.
