Agriculture Measure 125, one in a collection of measures aimed at improving the competitiveness of the agricultural businesses, was launched last week at Bank of Valletta’s head office in St Venera.
Designed to facilitate the development and adaptation of agriculture by supporting the improvement of the necessary infrastructure, and to address farm accessibility, the measure is made possible through the ‘Leader’ programme launched earlier this year.
‘Leader’ encourages the implementation of integrated, high-quality and original strategies for sustainable development, according to Joe Caruana, head, paying agency, at the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs.
Bank of Valletta has a tailor-made financing package available to those participating in the Leader programme. It includes bridging facilities, the issuing of guarantees and the possibility of advance payments through the BoV 4 Agriculture Package.
