Activists say Syrian security forces have opened fire on a funeral procession in Damascus, killing at least one person.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the Local Co-ordination Committees, an opposition group, say at least five people were also wounded today in the central neighbourhood of Midan during the funeral of a teenager killed a day earlier.
On Friday, security forces opened fire at protesters in different parts of Syria killing at least 11.
The uprising against President Bashar Assad's regime began in mid-March amid a wave of anti-government protests in the Arab world that toppled autocrats in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.
Assad retaliated with a crackdown that according to the UN has left more than 3,000 dead.
