A 72-year-old man from Pieta was grievously injured this afternoon when he was hit by a Toyota starlet in Hamrun. The man is not in a critical condition.

The police said the accident happened at 12.20 p.m. in Triq Schembri. The car was being driven by a 51-year-old man from Hamrun.
