When the customs enforcement officers are going to start playing it smart by letting these drug couriers through so they can catch the real big fish.

Somebody is going to enjoy the Maltese hospitality a lot longer than he bargained for. At a guess, he's going to be in his mid-thirties when he comes out.

Peter .. Totally agree but like I say to friends in the UK it's okay putting these people in Jail for along time but it comes at a Cost to the Country in question {The Uk Jails are virtually full these days through one thing and another} .. For example I am led to believe keeping someone in a UK Prison costs around £1000/1150stg a week ! .. Imagine the cost of that per Prisoner over say over 10,15,.20,25 year terms ? .. Personally I think regarding Drug Crimes a punishment policy like Thailand or Saudi Arabia should be adopted it would soon slow the show down and potentially save Governments Money and it's people's lives along the way also .. Oh and probably reduce the amount of Theft's in connection with Drugs etc ?
