A festival to mark the 20th anniversary of the opening of Fort Rinella as a museum and cultural heritage attraction will be held between October 21 and 23.

The Fort Rinella Military Festival, organised by Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna (FWA), will feature three British re-enactment groups. It will include a number of displays depicting 19th-century British cavalry at work and play, period battlefield exercises, formation drill and military sports. There will also be a trick horseriding display.

School children will be attending on October 21, tour operators on October 22 and the festival is open to the public on October 23.

All displays will start at 2 p.m.culminating with the firing of the Armstrong 100-ton gun at 4 p.m. on October 23.
