The House Public Affairs Committee has agreed to start hearing witnesses on the Auditor General’s report on the Delimara power station extension on November 1 in a sitting that would start at 4 and end at 9 p.m.

The hearings would continue the day after.

House committee chairman Charles Mangion said witnesses would be informed of the guidelines that would be adopted, among them protection from things that could incriminate them.

Witnesses could be acompanied by their legal adviser.

The Advocate General would attend to clarify any legal points that may arise.
