Surgeries cost €28m last year

Surgeries at Mater Dei Hospital last year cost €28,547,420, Health Minister Joseph Cassar said in reply to a parliamentary question by Marie Louise Coleiro Preca (PL).

At €9,872, 073 the major cost centre was the Department of ­Surgery, followed by the Cardiac Service at €7,664,429.
