When the Marsa power station is decommissioned on the com­missioning of the Sicily-Malta ­interconnector grid, the site will be transferred to the government as part of Enemalta Corporation’s refinancing through its special purpose vehicle (SPV).

The project is part of the Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation plans within the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Communications.
