Magistrates want double the salary
Judges and magistrates want their salaries to double, according to figures released on Bondi+ last night.
Judges are eyeing an increase to €92,000 from €52,000 while magistrates want their €46,000 annual salary to be raised to €90,000.
If the proposed figures are taken on board, the Chief Justice’s salary would increase from €59,000 to €100,000.
The figures, which were given to the programme by what the producers said were “very reliable sources”, come after magistrates and judges boycotted a number of events of state and some spoke anonymously about their conditions needing improvement.

Nissugerixxi li nahsbu fuqha din il-haga u ndumu nahsbu fuqha daqs kemm iddumu biex jinqatu il-kawziet fil-qorti taghna. Nahseb jekk naghmlu hekk hafna minn dawk li jridu din iz-zieda, jilhqu jkunu mhux ghand il-bambin. Sintendi dejjem jekk ma jitolbux lill-bambin itiehom ghomor aktar minn haddiehor ukoll.

Why not? They should throw in also a larger car, shorter hours and longer summer holidays!

Keep the salaries the same, change the judges.
