A man who shot and injured two other men nine years ago was yesterday ordered to pay over €50,000 in damages.

Mr Justice Joseph Azzopardi noted that Mr Micallef was serving a lengthy prison sentence for the crime.

He heard that Henry Falzon had been seriously injured by Mr Micallef and that he had suffered a 28 per cent permanent disability when he lost the fingers of one hand. Mr Micallef was ordered to pay Henry Falzon €33,156.88

Joseph Falzon suffered a disability of four per cent and Mr Justice Azzopardi ordered Mr Micallef to pay him €13,800 in damages.
