I would like to attract the authorities’ attention to George Borg Olivier Street, in Sliema. I would expect such a busy road to be maintained by the local council, yet, it has come to a point where expectations are low when speaking of this council.

Not only does the street face continuous daily use/traffic but it also poses an extreme parking problem. In previous years, the construction of apartments put a strain on the road surface as did the frequent coaches travelling downhill from pick-ups at nearby hotels. Needless to say, the opening and closing of the surface due to drainage problems have also added to the damage.

I urge the council to consider resurfacing it as further damage could lead to more drainage mishaps and vehicular damage.
