10 a.m. The President and Mrs Abela preside over a press conference launching L-Istrina 2011 and distribute cheques to beneficiaries of L-Istrina 2010 at Verdala Palace, Buskett.
11.45 a.m. The President attends the wreath-laying ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the air crash of El Adem at the British Military Cemetery, Pembroke.
Tuesday
10.30 a.m. The President receives Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi at the Palace, Valletta.
11 a.m. Mrs Abela attends the annual exhibition of homemade objects made by elderly attending the 18 day centres inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary for the Elderly and Community Care Mario Galea at the Żurrieq Day Centre.
Noon The President is presented with the book Ħal Balzan u l-Lunzjata, u kitbiet oħra, by Carmel Bezzina, at the Palace.
12.30 p.m. Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund working committee at San Anton Palace, Attard.
7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend the Don Berto fundraising dinner in aid of MCCF at Don Berto restaurant, Vittoriosa.
Wednesday
10.30 a.m. The President receives opposition leader Joseph Muscat at San Anton Palace.
11.45 a.m. He receives Myriam and Patricia Belli, from the MUSEUM society of Australia on a courtesy call at San Anton Palace.
12.30 p.m. He receives Turkish Ambassador Ismail Ethem Tokdemir on a farewell call at San Anton Palace.
7.45 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception hosted by Spanish Ambassador Felipe de la Morena Casado and Mrs de la Morena on Spain’s National Day at the ambassador’s residence in Balzan.
Thursday
9.30 a.m. The President is presented with credentials by Austrian Ambassador Petra Schneebauer, Tunisian Ambassador Souad Gueblaoui and Danish Ambassador Birger Riis-Jorgensen at the Palace.
1.15 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host a luncheon in honour of the newly accredited ambassadors of Austria, Tunisia and Denmark at San Anton Palace.
7 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host an event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of National Poet Dun Karm Psaila at the Palace.
Firday
9.10 a.m. The President lays a wreath on Dun Karm Psaila’s monument in Floriana on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.
Saturday
9.45 a.m. The President attends the opening ceremony of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty organised by Stopoverty in partnership with Valletta council and the Third World Group at the Great Siege Square in Valletta.
7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend the performance of the three-act opera Tosca by Puccini, organised by the Leone Philharmonic Society at the Aurora Theatre in Victoria.
Sunday
7 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend Mass to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Pilar at San Anton Palace.
