Birgu by candlelight

The historic city of Vittoriosa glittered with flickering flames last night during the annual Birgu by Candlelight event. The streets and narrow lanes of Vittoriosa were lit with thousands of candles, though they had to battle against the strong winds. The event formed part of the three-day Birgufest, which comes to a close today. Events today kick off at 10 a.m. with marches and a parade at Victory Square.
