Garavaglia back at Balzan nursery

For the second time this year, Milan youth coach Elio Garavaglia will be conducting training sessions at the Balzan Youths FC nursery in the coming weeks.

He will be at Balzan between October 26 and November 16. Garavaglia will be assisted by club nursery head coach Silvan Ciscaldi and his staff in charge of the respective age groups.

Garavaglia started playing football at Milan’s youth system where he spent six years. His professional career spanned over 13 years, playing for various Serie B clubs.

He, who holds the UEFA “A” licence, has also worked as coach in the Milan youth academy for over 20 years, working with renowned Rossoneri personalities like Fabio Capello and Franco Baresi.

Garavaglia was also assistant to Mauro Tassotti for the Milan U-18 squad and formed part of the coaching staff at the Milan Soccer School in Sydney, Australia. He has just extended his contract with Milan for another two years.

These visits, organised with the help of the Balzan Youths FC president Gorg Borg and the club’s main sponsor Anton Tagliaferro, confirm the strong relations that the club has established with the Milan Academy in Australia and Italy.
