A 3D journey into the brain

Mario Valentino will deliver a talk entitled ‘Shedding light on brain injury’ at St James Cavalier’s Inspirations cafe, Valletta, on Thursday at 7.15 p.m.

During his talk, Dr Valentino, a world-renown researcher studying brain injury at University using the latest high-tech equipment, will present research findings that could lead to advances in the field that could save patients from the worst effects of brain injury. It could also help neurosurgeons save essential parts of the brain and lead to treatments to alleviate the symptoms of a disease that affects millions of people.

During the talk, Dr Valentino will be showing 3D images of mice brains, neurons and the cells supporting them.

The talk is being organised by Malta Cafe Scientifique and the Malta Chamber of Scientists, and will be followed by a discussion.
