I recently got the shock of my life as the news spread that Theresa Bonnici had passed away.

Like me, many were shocked since it was unexpected.

She was my husband’s grandmother and a great-grandmother to my daughter whom she cherished.

But most of all my companion and my inspiration, always there when I was in need.

She had a special gift: she always cared about everybody else and helped others in every way. She could and always put her interests last. All the family was proud of her because she was kind, generous and most of all caring towards others. For years she took great care of her elderly sisters and despite her age she always kept her commitment towards them until recently she lost one of her sisters. Of course she felt sorry but she had great faith in the Lord and she gave a great contribution within the Catholic community. She was a very dedicated and loving mother and grandmother and recently she became a great-grandmother of two, whom she was very proud of.

My husband David and I will miss Nanna Tessie dearly and we wish we could hug her and tell her how much we love her. She will always be in our hearts and our prayers.

My condolences got to her daughters and son, grandchildren and all the family.

Lord grant her eternal rest and may she rest in peace.
