Solution to congestion

In the article Never Mind The Width, See The Quantity (October 3), in which the traffic congestion of Mrabat Street, Sliema, was mentioned, several suggestions were made on how to tackle the problem.

I believe the only way to solve the problem is to place traffic lights at each end of the narrow part of the street, allowing traffic to pass in one direction and, on the change of lights, allow traffic to flow from the opposite direction. In other words, turn the narrow part of Mrabat Street into a one-way road intermittently.
