Trade finance bank Fimbank plc is supporting an exhibition by artist C.S. Lawrence entitled ‘Azure & Ochre’ at the Auberge de France in Vittoriosa. The exhibition was inaugurated by President George Abela and a percentage of the sales from the exhibition will be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
C.S. Lawrence was born in East Africa in 1957 and was sent to boarding school in Surrey at the age of 11 when her family moved to the Middle East.
She eventually relocated to Bahrain, where she started her career as a professional artist, and settled in Malta in 2002, where she found herself immersed in a landscape “full of brilliant colour”.
Fimbank president Margrith Lütschg-Emmenegger said it was evident that C.S. Lawrence is “stimulated by the magnificent landscapes of the Maltese islands, which in turn generate a feeling of serenity and give cause for reflection”.
