The Foundation for Human Resources Development is holding its National Annual Conference and HR & Training Fair 2011 on October 14 at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julians.
This year’s conference will address the increasingly indispensable role of the HR function at board level, a function that is now being considered the catalyst of any organisation.
Participants will benefit from the strongest and most diverse programme ever put together by FHRD. This year’s conference will see the participation of two highly sought after speakers in Europe, Robert Conlon from DC Gardner and Jill Miller from the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development. These two speakers will complement each other and together will put managers to the test on whether they are truly on board and firmly in the driver’s seat or else a spectator sitting on the seats reserved for guests and drawn in only, for the sake of convenience.
Participants will also have a selection of nine workshops to choose from, together with a panel discussion of leading entrepreneurs and professionals. The workshops have also been well thought out to focus on particular areas that participants requested as well as new and emerging issues and trends that will have effect on businesses.
The panel discussion is meant to offer an opportunity to participants to hear first hand from people on the ground that are managing operations and facing competition challenges every day.
FHRD will once again be organising an HR and Training Fair which runs concurrently with the conference, whereby 20 stands will be on exhibit offering different products and services mostly related to people management. Participants will have ample time to visit these stands as well as to network and meet colleagues.
