Prosecutors in the manslaughter trial against Michael Jackson’s personal physician kept jurors focused on the doctor’s phone records from the day the King of Pop died.
Authorities aimed to show that Conrad Murray was trying to juggle his medical practice, personal life and superstar patient all at once.
Evidence the day before yesterday centred on calls Dr Murray made and received on June 25 2009, with witnesses ranging from the cardiologist’s patients, a colleague and a woman who had dated Dr Murray.
Jurors yesterday were due to hear from two other women with whom Dr Murray was romantically involved.
Dr Murray has pleaded not guilty. Authorities contend he gave the singer a lethal dose of propofol and other sedatives. Dr Murray’s lawyers claim Michael Jackson gave himself the fatal dose.
