Emirates Airline is introducing two additional flights between Dubai and Mauritius, increasing the service to 11 weekly flights.

The 10th weekly flight will commence on November 4 while the 11th weekly flight will start on December 6, increasing existing capacity by 22 per cent.

The two additional flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays.

“We are standing by the destination at a time when the international outlook for travel is uncertain,” said Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ senior vice president of commercial operations in West Asia and the Indian Ocean.

“Our decision to introduce these extra flights is the result of our long-term partnership with Mauritius.”

Emirates Holidays’ annual brochure – A World of Choice – dedicates significant attention to honeymoon, adventure and general family holidays in Mauritius.

For 2010-11, Emirates recorded significant growth in passengers travelling to Mauritius from various markets, with Malta registering an increase of 19 per cent over the same period the previous year.

Emirates operates flights on a daily schedule from Malta to Dubai via Larnaka, Cyprus.
