Inspire CEO and top athlete Nathan Farrugia last night completed his 21st marathon, six more to go to complete his quest of running 27 marathons in 27 countries in 27 days.

Mr Farrugia, 38, is running 42.2 kilometres every day. Once completed, it would be the equivalent of running in a straight line from Birmingham to Milan.

The local charities supporting the Kinder European Challenge will keep 75 per cent of the funds raised by people in that country while the remaining 25 per cent will go to the overall cause – children with disabilities and children in long-term hospital care in Malta. Donations can be made through the website and by sending an SMS, with the number 27 in the body of the text message, to 50618 926 for €6.99 and 50619 215 for €11.65.
