Aiesec Malta is offering students at University and the Malta College of Arts Science and Technology opportunities to experience international internships. Students can choose to work in Fortune 500 corporations, such as Microsoft, Google, Alcatel-Lucent, Electrolux, DHL, or work in local businesses that have a vision to become multinational companies, or to work as volunteers in local communities and schools.

These internships could take place in a wide range of countries and territories, such as China, Malaysia, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Hungary, Turkey, and Egypt and so on. The duration of each internship ranges from six weeks up to 76 weeks.

Aiesec Malta is also providing internship opportunities for inter-national students to come to Malta to work for local companies, NGOs and many of its local partners.

This is the main product Aiesec offers its members – the chance to participate in its international internship programs through which Maltese students can go abroad and students from other countries to come to Malta to work in work placements with NGOs as well as with corporations.

These help provide experiential learning opportunities within a global environment.

Every year, Aiesec provides its members with 16,000 exchange experience and 20,000 leadership opportunities worldwide to university students and recent graduates. These youth-driven impactful experiences make Aiesec unique.

Furthermore, Aiesec members can also benefit from various kinds of conferences and events throughout the year, such as Aiesec Motivation Seminar, Leadership Development Seminar, Train the Trainer conference, Malta National Conference, Global Village and Out-Going Preparation Seminar For Exchange.

Aiesec is the world’s largest youth-run organisation. It is present in 110 countries and territories and has over 60,000 members.

The organisation offers a value-based platform for youth to develop themselves and their leadership potential. This is done by offering young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment.

In Malta, Aiesec was established 42 years ago in 1969. Today the organisation has 45 members and 10 leaders in the organisation. During October, Aiesec Malta is recruiting members at the University Freshers’ week. This year the student organisation is also expanding to Mcast to recruit members from there as well since its vision is to engage and enable more and more youth to develop their potential and have positive impact on society.

On the executive board, there are five members committed to the development of Aiesec Malta as an entity. These are the current president, Viola Zhang, from China, vice-president of Exchange, and Dhruv Duggal from India, who work on a full time basis for AIESEC in Malta.

Then from Malta there is the vice-president of Talent Management Analise Sammut, vice-president of Communication Edward Apap Bologna, and vice-president of Business Development Edward Cachia Zammit – all three of whom are current Bachelor of Commmerce students.

Aiesec Malta is doing its best to provide a valued-based international platform to enable more and more young people to develop their leadership potential to have a positive impact on society.
